Crude Oil Futures for June 2022 settled up $5.40 @ $107.81/bbl. trading in a $5.66 range including the overnight-RBOB settled up 15.11/cpg and Heating Oil settled up 11.43/cpg. The American Petroleum Institute’s weekly Crude Oil storage report released late Tuesday afternoon showed that domestic crude supplies decreased by -3.5 million barrels for the week ended April 29th, 2022. The weekly API data also showed storage decreases of -4.5 mil/bbl for Gasoline and -4.4 mil/bbl. for Distillates. The Energy Information Administration’s weekly petroleum storage report released early Wednesday morning showed that domestic crude supplies increased by +1.3 million barrels for the week ended April 29th. The weekly EIA data also showed storage decreases of -2.2 mil/bbl for Gasoline and -2.3 mil/bbl. for Distillates. Total commercial petroleum inventories increased last week by +2.6 million barrels last week.
Natural Gas Futures for June 2022 settled up $.461 @ $8.415/mmbtu trading in a 0.745 cent range including the overnight session. Preliminary expectations for this Thursday’s mornings weekly Energy Information Administration Natural Gas storage report calls for an addition of between +60 and +65 billion cubic feet for the week ended April 29th, 2022. That compares with an increase of +40 bcf in the preceding week, a build of +60.0 bcf a year earlier and a five-year average build of +84.2 bcf. Updated weather forecasts show a nation divided, with the West Coast and Inner Mountain regions to experience below average temperatures while the Eastern half of the nation-from the western Great Lakes to the Gulf Coast and east-look to experience above to well above normal seasonal temps over the next six-to-ten day time frame.
